Under Rule 405 of the South Carolina Appellate Court Rules (SCACR). a person who is employed in the legal department or under the supervision of the legal department of a corporation, company, partnership, or association which does not provide legal services in South Carolina to the public or its employees may be issued a limited certificate of admission to practice law if the person meets the requirements for admission set forth in Rule 405(a).
